Description
This is Khaos, the primordial goddess of...no, not of chaos! U mad, guys? 
Her name means 'gap' or 'chasm'. She is the Protogenos of the air between the ground and the nothingness above. She is the fog, the mist and the air we breathe, hence her other name, Aer (air). According to Hesiod, she was the very first being to come into existence, after her came Gaia, Eros and Tartaros. They are often thought to be her offspring, but technically they are her younger siblings, since they came from nothing, like she did. I wonder what it was like to babysit Earth, Procreation/Love and the Pit Below. She must have had infinite patience! XD
She is the mother and grandmother to all other etherical essences (her children: Nyx [Night], Erebos [Darkness], her grandchildren: Hemera [Day], Aither [bright, upper air]), some of the emotional driving Daimones (but when I researched the parents of the spirits, I always got other deities) and, together with Eros, the mother of the birds (as the goddess of air, like Thalassa was mother to fish and Gaia to land animals - you understand?). According to some sources, Eros is her son as well, but I chose to go with him being her younger brother.
She was also a goddess of fate, like her granddaughters, the Moirai. Hence, she knows past, present and future. According to the Orphic tradition it's because of her parents being Khronos (eternal time) and Ananke (necessity).
In her function as fate goddess, I gave her this third eye on her forehead, with which she sees through the times. She is one of the few deities to know the future precisely, the others being the Moirai (the Fates) and Moros (doom)
I wanted to give her wings, but then I changed my mind, since she invented wings (also, wings are tiresome to draw). According to Oppian, she never smiled ("Thou [primordial Eros] art the eldest-born among the blessed gods and from unsmiling Khaeos [Khaos] didst arise..." Source: www.theoi.com) but I then thought 'fuck Oppian, Eros would never have hooked up with her, if she always had a gloomy face!' So I drew her with a smile. ^^

Interesting portrayal of Khaos. I actually didn't know she also was goddess of fate.
